The Word Speed Challenge

Remember that you must add up each letter from its corresponding position in the alphabet, so A is 1 and Z 26, and so IF is 9 + 6 = 15.

Brain skills tested:
- your ability to do math in your head
- your understanding of the alphabet
- ability to count through and manipulate a sequence in your head
- your mental capacity to spot patterns and come up with methods to improve your performance in the puzzle (e.g. memorising the position of a few marker letters distributed in the A-Z sequence)

If you find it slow and hard work at first, don't worry - you will get better with practice.
